About William F. Lang iv

The ideas, innovation, and know-how of a business are often more valuable than its tangible assets. These intellectual assets are critical in setting your products and services apart from those of your competition. Similarly, your name and reputation are often critical elements of your customer's choice of your products and services over those of your competition. Without proper protection, these important assets can be taken advantage of by competitors who didn't spend the time, energy, and resources that you spent in developing your innovations.

Since 1998, I have protected the ideas, inventions, and commercial identities of my clients through patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. I hold degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering, providing me with the technical expertise to understand the details of your inventions. After honing my craft at various patent law practices – including one of the largest in the world and one of the oldest in the United States – I came to believe that the best quality advocacy and counseling could be provided to my clients by a business model incorporating the best of everything I learned at these firms, while also providing me with the ability to make the interests of my clients my first priority.

My values include providing you with an honest evaluation of your intellectual property, as well as the likelihood of success in obtaining protection for these assets. Once we identify the most important assets to protect, you will receive zealous, thorough advocacy before the US Patent and Trademark Office.

When you engage my services, the protection of your inventions receives my individual attention. Your projects will not be passed off to junior associates or to non-attorney, non-agent "technical advisors," but will be completed by me. Regardless of whether you are an individual inventor, a start-up company, a mid-size company, or a multinational corporation, you can be assured that the protection of your ideas receives the highest level of attention to detail while being completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Your inventions, know-how, and reputation are important to you and your business. I can ensure that your intellectual assets receive the best possible protection.
